My name is Matthew Chin and I’m from Portland, Oregon. Currently, I am a sophomore at Loyola Marymount University pursuing a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing. Outside of the classroom, I love music, photography, and sports. In high school, I played the drums in a band called “Out of Luck”, and together we wrote and released our own original music. Linked below is our debut EP. In addition to playing the drums, I also managed the distribution of our music to streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), kept detailed records of our collections of royalties and finances, and evaluated our streaming statistics using Spotify for Artists. While I don’t expect to become a drummer in the future, being in a band has sparked my interest in the music industry and I hope to pursue a career in music marketing or A&R.
